How to Open An Account 

Investing in Bahrain Investment Market (BIM) is open to all investors from any nationality without any kind of restriction. Investors interested in trading on Bahrain Investment Market (BIM) are required to contact one of the registered brokers on Bahrain Bourse to open an account and execute transactions.

Individual Investors 
  Fees  Requirement 
First Time Investor  BD 5
* The original and copy of a valid National Identification Card
* The original and copy of valid Passport  
DPO BD 1 
Change of Broker  BD 1 


Further documentation requirements for individuals are as follow:

Individual Investors 
  Requirement 
Representative   * A copy of power of attorney certified by a notary public. If you are a foreigner please certify your power of attorney from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country.
 * A copy of the respresentative's valid Identification and Passport 
Minor ( Less than 21yrs old)  * The original and copy of valid National Identification card
* The original and copy of valid Passport
* Certified copy of court order in case of the legal guardian not being the father of the minor account holder.
* A copy of Passport and National Identification Card of the legal guardian 
Joint account  * The original and copy of a valid National Identification Card for all parties
*The original and copy of valid Passport for all parties
* Fill "Signature Card" & "Investor Number Form" for each party
* Signature of all parties
* Letter from all parties of joint account directed to Bahrain Investment Market authorizing any or all parties to manage the account 

 

Institutional Investors 
  Fees  Requirement 
First Time Investor  BD 5
* Copy of Institution valid Registration Certificate (CR)
* A copy of the institutiion's Memorandum & Articles of Association
* List of directors names, shares held by each one of them and their full address
* An original letter printed on the institution's official letter head stating the authorized person(s) on behlaf of the institution
* The original and a copy of the authorized persons' valid passports and identification cards
